The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the superintendent, the deputy superintendent for programs and treatment is responsible for overseeing and developing policies concerning inmate services and treatments. Weekly admissions and release forms are created and balanced weekly by the classification office to enumerate the number of inmate admissions, releases, and returns on a weekly basis.
